Dwarves and Battle Dwarves are the level 2 creatures of Rampart. They are recruited from the Dwarf Cottage.

"Because of their slowness, dwarves are perhaps best used to defend ranged attackers. Battle dwarves have greater mobility and are more versatile. Dwarves and battle dwarves have, respectively, a 20% and 40% resistance to magic which gives them a chance to ignore the effects of hostile spell attacks." RoE manual

Building the Miners' Guild increases dwarves' growth by 4 per week.

Heroes with a specialty[edit | edit source]

  • UfretinUfretin Ufretin the Ranger has dwarves as a specialty, which increases the attack and defense skills of any dwarves or battle dwarves for each level attained after 2nd level, and gives them a speed bonus of 1.

Appearance[edit | edit source]

Dwarves and Battle Dwarves appear at the beginning of the Driving for the Boots scenario from the New Beginning campaign in Shadow of Death.

Some may find the information in this section subjective or irrelevant.

They are not recommended to be found in the main army, at least after early game, mostly because they will significantly slow down the hero on the adventure map. However, they are good tanks and should be used (if possible) in important battles.
